Name: HL DT ST DVDRAM GSA U10N ATA Device Driver
Author: LG

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

This GSA-U10N is an ATAPI optical drive and usually needs no separate LG driver. If an old LG/DVD-RAM package fails on modern Windows, run it as administrator in compatibility mode or skip it and let Windows use the built-in DVD/CD-ROM driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the drive appears in BIOS/UEFI, check SATA/IDE and power cables, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. If missing, uninstall the optical device entry and restart.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old third-party burning suites or optical filter drivers, then uninstall/roll back the device in Device Manager. Use firmware only for the exact GSA-U10N model, not another LG drive.
