Name: HL DT ST DVDRAM GSA T20N ATA Device Driver
Author: LG

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

This DVD-RAM drive normally uses Windows’ native ATAPI/cdrom.sys driver. If an LG/third-party installer fails, uninstall it in Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows re-detect; only flash firmware explicitly for GSA-T20N.

Question 2

Not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check BIOS/UEFI sees the drive. Reseat SATA/power (or IDE cable/jumper), try another port, and confirm controller mode. If BIOS cannot see it, no Windows driver will fix it.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old optical-drive and duplicate ATAPI controller entries, then rescan. Avoid generic driver packs; if a new package breaks reading/burning, roll back or uninstall and use Windows’ built-in driver.
