Name: HL DT ST DVDRAM GP30NB20 USB Device Driver
Author: LG

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port, preferably rear-panel or powered hub; the GP30NB20 can draw more power than some front ports supply. In Device Manager, check under DVD/CD-ROM drives for “HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GP30NB20” and rescan.

Question 2

Install fails or yellow warning icon?

Accepted Answer

Windows normally uses its native CD/DVD driver. Don’t force an LG driver package for a different model. Uninstall the device in Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows reinstall it.

Question 3

Software/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Virtual-drive tools and old burning suites can take over the drive. Remove or update them, then check LG firmware for the exact GP30NB20 model and install only matching firmware.
