Name: HL DT ST DVDRAM GP08LU10 USB Device Driver
Author: LG

Question 1

Install fails or Windows shows no driver?

Accepted Answer

This USB DVD-RAM drive normally uses Windows’ built-in CD/DVD class driver. Don’t use generic driver-updater tools. Run any LG firmware/software setup as administrator, disconnect other USB storage during setup, and reboot after Windows Update.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port, preferably a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the PC—not a hub. Reseat the USB cable, test another cable/PC, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. If it appears with a warning icon, uninstall the device and restart.

Question 3

Version/conflict errors?

Accepted Answer

Third-party burning or virtual-drive software can install conflicting filters. Uninstall old virtual-drive tools, remove the device in Device Manager, and restart so Windows reloads the native driver. Install firmware only from LG for the exact GP08LU10 model.
