Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the HiTi P520L, close any HiTi/printing processes, remove older P520/P520L driver packages in Print Server Properties, reboot, then run the installer as administrator.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port instead of a hub, confirm the P520L is powered on, and check Device Manager for an unknown USB device. Reconnect the cable and reinstall the driver if needed.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Windows may install a generic or older HiTi driver. Remove the existing P520L driver entirely, then install the correct HiTi package for your Windows version and architecture; avoid using “Update driver” to a generic printer driver.
