Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hercules installer as administrator, close DJ software, and temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the driver. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

DJControl Instinct not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Try another USB cable, check Device Manager for unknown USB/MIDI devices, then reconnect the controller after installation.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Hercules DJ drivers and any duplicate Instinct entries in Programs and Features/Device Manager, reboot, then install the latest compatible package. Don’t mix old ASIO/MIDI drivers with the new install.
