Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hercules driver/software installer as administrator, and use Windows 7 compatibility mode if needed. Disconnect the MP3 e2 until setup prompts for it; temporarily disable antivirus and avoid installing from a network drive.

Question 2

Controller not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a data-capable USB cable directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for Unknown Device or a MIDI controller; uninstall it, reboot, then reinstall the Hercules package before reconnecting the MP3 e2.

Question 3

Version conflicts / stuck MIDI?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Hercules DJ software and drivers first, including hidden devices in Device Manager. Reboot, then install the package matching your Windows version and VirtualDJ/ASIO setup. Don’t mix 32-bit and 64-bit installers.
