Question 1

Installer fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the driver matches your HCL Desktop model, Windows version, and 32/64-bit architecture. Run the installer as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the setup.

Question 2

Device not detected after install?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for unknown devices, install the chipset driver first, and verify the device is enabled in BIOS/UEFI. Reseat internal cards or cables only if comfortable opening the desktop.

Question 3

Version conflicts or rollback?

Accepted Answer

Windows Update may replace the HCL driver. Use Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver, or reinstall the HCL package and pause automatic driver updates until setup completes.
