Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hawking setup as Administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode. If Windows blocks the old/unsigned driver, use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse to the extracted INF, or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug it directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Reseat the dish adapter’s USB cable, check Device Manager for an Unknown device, and scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts or dropped connections?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Hawking utilities/drivers and duplicate wireless adapters, reboot, then install one matching package. Use Windows WLAN AutoConfig instead of the legacy utility and connect via 2.4 GHz/WPA2.
