Name: Hauppauge WinTV USB2 Stick Driver
Author: Hauppauge

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Unplug the WinTV USB2 Stick before running the driver/WinTV setup. Run the installer as administrator, reboot when prompted, then connect the stick to a direct USB 2.0 port.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Avoid USB hubs and try a rear USB 2.0 port. Check Device Manager for an unknown device or yellow warning; uninstall that entry, replug the stick, and let Windows re-detect it.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Hauppauge/WinTV drivers and software first, reboot, then install the package matching your Windows version. Don’t mix an old CD installer with a newer downloaded driver.
