Name: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Driver
Author: Hauppauge

Question 1

Install fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hauppauge setup as administrator and use the driver package matching your Windows version and bitness. Temporarily disable antivirus, reboot, then retry. If Windows blocks the driver, check signature enforcement and use the correct signed release.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power off and reseat the card firmly in a compatible PCI slot—not PCIe. Check Device Manager for an unknown multimedia/video controller; install motherboard chipset drivers and try another PCI slot.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old WinTV/Hauppauge drivers and software first, remove hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the PVR II package. Avoid mixing drivers from newer WinTV releases with this card.
