Name: Hauppauge WinTV HVR 955q (1114xx ATSC QAM) Driver
Author: Hauppauge

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the HVR 955q, uninstall older WinTV/driver packages, reboot, then run the latest Hauppauge installer as administrator. Reconnect the tuner only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for unknown/USB tuner entries, uninstall any bad instance, replug the 955q, and let Windows reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts or no ATSC/QAM scan?

Accepted Answer

Remove mismatched WinTV/Media Center driver versions, install the matching Hauppauge package, then in WinTV select the correct ATSC/QAM input and rescan channels.
