Name: Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB T Tuner Demod Driver
Author: Hauppauge

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hauppauge setup as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and use the package matching your Windows version. If it still fails, update the driver manually in Device Manager by pointing to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Tuner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power off, reseat the PCI card, and try another PCI slot if available. Check Device Manager for an unknown/multimedia device, confirm the DVB-T antenna is connected, and install the driver before opening WinTV.

Question 3

Version conflicts or crashes?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old WinTV software and previous Hauppauge drivers, reboot, then install one matching driver set. Avoid mixing Windows Update generic drivers with Hauppauge packages; roll back if an update breaks tuning.
