Name: Hauppauge WinTV 723x (ATSC NTSC) Driver
Author: Hauppauge

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hauppauge setup as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. If using an older WinTV package, try Windows compatibility mode. Remove any previous WinTV software before reinstalling.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for the tuner under Sound, video and game controllers. Reseat the card in its PCIe slot or try another slot; for USB models, use a rear direct port. Confirm the 723x hardware ID appears before installing the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Hauppauge/WinTV drivers and hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the driver package matching your Windows architecture. Don’t mix 32-bit and 64-bit packages or install over an existing WinTV version.
