Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the GV Series installer as administrator, match it to your Windows version/architecture, and keep the USB protector unplugged until setup prompts for it. Check Device Manager for a flagged device afterward.

Question 2

USB protector not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct rear USB port instead of a hub or front-panel port, reseat the device, and test another PC. In Device Manager, look for “Unknown USB Device” or a GV entry with an error code.

Question 3

Version conflicts with an older GV driver?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the previous GV Series driver and utility, reboot, then install only the latest package. Do not mix old utility versions with a new driver.
