Name: GRECOM PSR 800 Serial Device (COM3) Driver
Author: Grecom

Question 1

Install fails or COM3 is missing?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, connect the PSR-800 in PC/Serial mode, and check Device Manager for an unknown device. If Windows blocks the driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement or use the manufacturer-signed package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the scanner is powered on and in PC/Serial mode, use a data-capable USB cable, try another USB port, and verify Device Manager shows a COM port. If it appears as COM4/COM5, update the software’s port setting.

Question 3

Version or COM-port conflict?

Accepted Answer

Remove old GRECOM/Serial drivers and hidden COM ports in Device Manager, reboot, then install the latest vendor driver. Assign COM3 manually if required and ensure no other application is using it.
