Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Gravis installer as Administrator and try Windows XP compatibility mode. On 64-bit Windows, legacy unsigned packages may be blocked; use a signed/community driver or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement only for installation.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the 15-pin gameport is enabled in BIOS/Device Manager. Connect the GamePad Pro before booting, then check Control Panel > Game Controllers. If using a USB adapter, install its driver first.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Gravis/gameport drivers and remove duplicate “Game Controllers” entries, then reboot. Install only one driver version and avoid mixing vendor and Windows generic joystick drivers.
