Question 1

Installation fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

disconnect the plotter, close Cutting Plotter Controller and any design software, run the installer as administrator, allow the Graphtec driver if Windows prompts, then reboot before reconnecting USB.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

power on the FC8000, use a direct USB port instead of a hub, try another cable, check Device Manager for an unknown USB device, then install the driver and select the correct USB/COM port in your cutting software.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

uninstall older Graphtec drivers and Cutting Plotter Controller, remove stale ports in Device Manager, reboot, then install only the FC8000-compatible Windows driver and match its bitness to Windows.
