Gigabyte P55A UD3 Driver

The Gigabyte Technology P55A UD3 motherboard includes onboard audio that needs a dedicated driver to deliver full playback, recording, and jack-detection features in Windows. Instead of relying on the limited generic audio driver, this package installs the software layer that lets the sound controller work correctly with supported Microsoft operating systems. It is intended for systems running Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 7.

Key Features

• Activates the onboard audio controller so sound plays through rear and front-panel connections, including headphone and line-out ports.
• Supports stereo, quadraphonic, 5.1, and 7.1 speaker configurations where the audio hardware and chassis wiring allow them

Common Issues and Fixes

• Chipset/INF installer fails or exits early: The Gigabyte package may not support newer Windows builds. Run as administrator, try compatibility mode, or update the Intel P55 chipset INF manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse.
• Onboard LAN/audio not detected after reinstall: Confirm both are enabled in BIOS, then install the Realtek LAN and audio drivers for the exact P55A UD3 revision—not a generic Realtek package. Reboot before testing.
• Version conflicts with Intel RST/INF or Windows Update drivers: Uninstall the conflicting Intel/Realtek driver, reboot, and install Gigabyte’s P55A UD3 package. For SATA changes, set BIOS to AHCI before installing Intel RST; mismatched RST versions can cause boot or detection issues.
