Question 1

Installer fails or freezes?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the MaxFire Grandias 12V gamepad, run the Genius setup as Administrator, and try Windows compatibility mode. Temporarily disable antivirus, reboot, then reconnect the controller after installation.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the gamepad directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for unknown devices, then open “Set up USB game controllers” (`joy.cpl`) and verify/calibrate it there.

Question 3

Version conflicts or buttons/vibration not working?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any older Genius gamepad software and hidden HID/game-controller entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install the latest driver before reconnecting the pad. Recalibrate after installation.
