Author: Genius

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The G540 uses a legacy tablet driver, so run the setup as administrator and try Windows 7/8 compatibility mode. Disconnect the tablet during installation, reboot, then plug it in.

Question 2

Tablet not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB port instead of a hub, test the cable, and check the tablet LED. In Device Manager, look under Human Interface Devices/Universal Serial Bus controllers, then reinstall the G540 driver and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts or pen/buttons misbehave?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Genius tablet drivers and duplicate HID entries, reboot, and install only one G540 driver package. If pressure or buttons still fail, disable Windows Ink for the tablet.
