Name: Genius EasyPen i405X Driver
Author: Genius

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Genius setup as Administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. If it still fails, uninstall any previous Genius tablet driver, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the EasyPen i405X directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for unknown/HID devices, reinstall the driver, and restart the tablet service.

Question 3

Version conflicts or pen behaves erratically?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Genius or other tablet drivers, reboot, and install only the matching i405X driver. Check Device Manager under Human Interface Devices and roll back/update if Windows installed a generic driver.
