Name: Genesys Logic USB2.0 PC Camera Driver
Author: Genesys Logic

Question 1

Install fails or setup exits early?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator in compatibility mode for the camera’s supported Windows version. If Windows blocks an old unsigned package, update manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Test a rear USB 2.0 port and a known-good cable. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and check for Unknown Device or USB Video Device entries. Avoid USB 3.0 hubs if enumeration fails.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing “USB Video Device” or older Genesys Logic entries, including hidden devices, then reboot. Install one matching driver version. If Windows’ generic UVC driver loads instead, roll back or manually point the camera to the vendor driver.
