Name: Genesys Logic USB Card Reader Driver
Author: Genesys Logic

Question 1

Card reader not detected / cards not mounting?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port and cable. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown USB Device” or Genesys Logic under Disk drives/Universal Serial Bus controllers. Uninstall the entry, unplug the reader, reboot, then reconnect.

Question 2

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the installer matching your Windows version and architecture (x64/ARM64). Run as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and prefer the signed WHQL driver from Windows Update or the vendor if Windows blocks older packages.

Question 3

Version conflicts / reader works then drops?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, enable “Show hidden devices,” remove old Genesys Logic driver entries, reboot, and install one package only. Avoid mixing Windows Update and vendor drivers; roll back if an update breaks card access.
