Name: Genesys Logic USB 0 PC Camera Driver
Author: Genesys Logic

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks the driver, check its digital signature; for older Genesys Logic packages, use the vendor-signed version for your Windows build rather than forcing unsigned drivers.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Open Device Manager and look under Imaging devices or Universal Serial Bus controllers for the Genesys entry. Try a direct rear USB 2.0 port, avoid hubs, uninstall any yellow-bang unknown device, then rescan. Confirm camera privacy access is enabled.

Question 3

Version conflicts/Windows replaces driver?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing webcam drivers and remove the device, restart, then install the Genesys package. If Windows Update overwrites it, roll back in Device Manager or use "Update driver > Browse" to pin the working version.
