Question 1

Installation fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the VixWin Pro setup as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and confirm the OS meets the version’s requirements. Remove previous VixWin/Gendex sensor drivers before reinstalling; mixed 32/64-bit components often block installation.

Question 2

Intraoral sensor not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Gendex sensor directly to the PC (avoid unpowered hubs), reseat the sensor cable, and check Device Manager for USB/sensor driver errors. Reinstall the VixWin Pro sensor driver if the device is listed with a warning.

Question 3

Version conflicts after upgrade?

Accepted Answer

Match the VixWin Pro release to the installed Gendex sensor driver and Windows version. Uninstall old VixWin and driver packages, reboot, then install the vendor-supported pair; don’t mix drivers from different VixWin versions.
