Name: GCC Bobcat USB Driver
Author: GCC

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the GCC Bobcat USB installer as Administrator and try Windows compatibility mode. If Windows blocks the driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, install, then reboot and re-enable it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the Bobcat before opening the software, use a direct rear USB port instead of a hub, and try a known-good cable. In Device Manager, check for an unknown device or GCC USB entry and update manually by pointing to the extracted `.inf` file.

Question 3

Version or port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older GCC Bobcat drivers and remove stale USB/COM port entries in Device Manager, including hidden devices. Reboot, install only the latest driver matching your Windows architecture, and confirm the assigned COM port in your GCC software.
