Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Ferrari 458 Racing Wheel, run the Thrustmaster installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Reboot before reconnecting the wheel to a rear USB 2.0 port.

Question 2

Wheel not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for USB/unknown-device errors, try a different USB 2.0 port and cable, and avoid unpowered hubs. Verify the wheel’s USB/power connections and test it in the Thrustmaster Control Panel.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Thrustmaster or Ferrari 458 drivers, remove leftover Device Manager entries, reboot, then install the latest package. Avoid mixing Windows generic HID drivers with Thrustmaster software; recalibrate the wheel after reinstalling.
