Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the DriverTuner setup as administrator, temporarily disable third-party antivirus/Windows Defender real-time scanning, and confirm the Windows Installer service is running. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

DriverTuner does not detect a device?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for unknown devices, reconnect USB/PCI hardware, and rescan. Ensure the device is powered on and not hidden; update the chipset driver first if the bus device is missing.

Question 3

Version conflicts after updating?

Accepted Answer

If audio, network, or GPU stops working, roll back via Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver. Avoid mixing DriverTuner updates with OEM utilities; keep one updater and reinstall the OEM driver if instability persists.
