Question 1

Installer fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Windows SmartScreen or antivirus may flag the Driver Tonic setup. Right-click the download, choose Properties > Unblock, then run as administrator. Temporarily allow it in security software during install, and confirm you downloaded the correct 32-bit/64-bit Windows build.

Question 2

Device scan finds nothing / device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Restart the Driver Tonic service, reconnect the target device, and run the scan again as administrator. Check Device Manager for unknown or hidden devices, and verify the device is powered on and properly connected.

Question 3

Version conflicts after update?

Accepted Answer

An older OEM driver may override Driver Tonic’s update. Create a restore point, roll back the device driver in Device Manager, then reinstall the latest manufacturer package. Avoid mixing Windows Update and Driver Tonic installs at the same time.
