Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, temporarily disable VPN/antivirus, and confirm the package matches your Windows version and architecture. If it still fails, extract the driver and update via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse.

Question 2

Network card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for unknown devices or yellow warnings. Reseat PCIe/USB adapters, confirm the onboard NIC is enabled in BIOS, and try another USB port or Ethernet cable.

Question 3

Version conflicts or dropped connectivity?

Accepted Answer

Use Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver, reboot, then reinstall the manufacturer’s package. Avoid mixing Windows Update and vendor drivers; disable NIC power saving if the link drops.
