Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the DFX installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and confirm the build matches your Windows version. Install any required Visual C++ runtimes first.

Question 2

Device not detected / no sound?

Accepted Answer

In Windows Sound settings, enable the correct playback device and set it as default. Restart the Windows Audio service, then reinstall your onboard/USB audio driver before reinstalling DFX.

Question 3

Version conflicts or crackling?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older DFX versions and reboot before installing the new build. Avoid stacking DFX with other audio enhancers such as Realtek effects, Nahimic, or Dolby, which can conflict.
