The Bluetooth Low Energy Hid Device driver helps Windows recognize compatible Bluetooth Low Energy input devices, such as keyboards, mice, and other Human Interface Device (HID) accessories. It supports communication between the accessory and your computer’s Bluetooth subsystem so that key presses, pointer movements, and other supported inputs can be processed correctly.

Key Features

  • HID input support: Helps compatible Bluetooth LE accessories deliver input to Windows through the appropriate device interface.
  • Bluetooth stack integration: Works alongside your Bluetooth adapter driver and Windows Bluetooth services to support device detection and communication.
  • Low-energy connectivity: Enables supported accessories to use Bluetooth Low Energy communication, which is designed for power-efficient operation.
  • Troubleshooting support: Installing the correct driver may resolve missing-driver warnings or recognition problems. Pairing failures and dropped connections may also require a Bluetooth adapter update or accessory troubleshooting.

How to Install

  1. Check your Windows version and hardware compatibility. Before downloading, confirm whether your computer runs Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, and check its system architecture. Bluetooth LE HID support varies by Windows release, Bluetooth adapter, and accessory; a driver alone cannot add support to an incompatible system.
  1. Verify the driver match. Open Device Manager and locate the Bluetooth Low Energy Hid Device entry, which may appear under Bluetooth, Human Interface Devices, or Other devices. If needed, check Properties > Details > Hardware Ids and compare the identifiers with the package documentation from the manufacturer.
  1. Download and prepare the appropriate package. Choose a driver explicitly intended for your hardware and Windows version. Extract the files if they arrive in a compressed folder. If no separate device driver is required, use Windows Update or the computer manufacturer’s recommended Bluetooth adapter driver instead.
  1. Install the driver. Run the supplied installer and follow its instructions. For a package containing driver files without an installer, right-click the device in Device Manager, select Update driver, and choose Browse my computer for drivers to select the extracted folder.
  1. Restart and test the accessory. Restart if prompted, turn on Bluetooth, and pair the accessory if necessary. Confirm that its inputs respond and that Device Manager shows no warning icon. If problems continue, check the accessory’s battery, move it closer to the computer, and review Bluetooth adapter compatibility.

Common Issues and Fixes

  • Install fails or stalls: Run the manufacturer’s installer as administrator, connect the Bluetooth adapter, and install/update its Bluetooth driver first. Close other Bluetooth suites and reboot before retrying.
  • Device not detected: In Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices, remove old pairings, put the BLE HID device in pairing mode, and keep it close with fresh batteries. Confirm Bluetooth is on and the Bluetooth Support Service is running.
  • Version/driver conflict: If Windows loads a generic BLE HID driver or an older vendor package, uninstall the device in Device Manager (select “Delete the driver software”), reboot, and reinstall the vendor package. Use Roll Back Driver if a new version breaks input.
