The Canon PIXMA MG5320 driver lets Windows communicate with your all-in-one printer so you can send print jobs and adjust output settings. For scanning, choose a Canon package that includes scanner support, or install the separate scanner driver if one is offered.
Key Features
- Print settings for everyday documents and photos, including paper size, media type, print quality, and borderless output where supported.
- Access to automatic two-sided printing options to help reduce paper use on compatible print jobs.
- USB and wireless printing support when the appropriate driver is installed and the printer’s connection is configured.
- Scanner communication for digitizing photos and documents with compatible scanning software when the scanner component is included.
How to Install
- Check your Windows version. Before downloading, confirm whether your computer uses Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, and check whether it is a 32-bit or 64-bit system. Select a package explicitly listed for your operating system. Older printers may not have an official driver for every Windows version, so verify compatibility rather than assuming a Windows 10 package supports Windows 11.
- Prepare the printer. Turn on the Canon PIXMA MG5320 and clear any errors shown on its display. For wireless installation, connect the printer and computer to the same local network. For USB setup, leave the cable disconnected until the installer requests it.
- Run the downloaded installer. Open the setup file and approve the Windows permission prompt if it appears. Follow the instructions and select the connection method you intend to use.
- Finish device detection. Connect the USB cable when prompted, or select the printer found on your network. Allow setup to complete before opening a printing or scanning application.
- Test the installation. Print a test page from Windows printer settings, then try a scan if you installed scanner support. If detection fails, check the connection and restart the printer before trying again.
Common Issues and Fixes
- Install fails or stalls: Disconnect USB, remove old Canon printer entries in Devices and Printers, run setup as administrator, and reconnect only when prompted. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the installer.
- Printer not detected: Check the USB cable/port or confirm Wi-Fi is on the same 2.4 GHz network. Use Canon’s IJ Network Device Setup Utility and print the MG5320 network settings. Restart the print spooler.
- Version conflicts / duplicate queues: Uninstall previous PIXMA MG5300 series drivers, restart, then install the latest MG5320 package. Remove duplicate printer icons and set the correct queue as default.
