The Canon iR2525 2530 UFRII LT driver allows Windows to send print jobs to compatible Canon imageRUNNER iR2525 and iR2530 multifunction printers. For a network-connected device, it provides the link between your applications and the printer, along with access to supported printing preferences. Select a driver package that explicitly supports your version of Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7 and matches your system architecture.
Key Features
- UFRII LT printing support: Enables compatible Canon printers to process documents sent from Windows applications using Canon’s UFRII LT print system.
- Network printer setup: Works with a properly configured network connection so users can send jobs to the printer through its IP address or a shared print queue.
- Document layout controls: Provides access to supported settings such as paper size, orientation, copy count, and multiple pages per sheet.
- Device-specific options: Lets you configure available paper sources, two-sided printing, and other supported features according to the printer’s installed hardware.
How to Install
- Check Windows compatibility. Open your system information to confirm your Windows version and whether it uses a 32-bit or 64-bit architecture. Verify that the selected Canon iR2525 2530 UFRII LT package lists support for that configuration; not every release supports every Windows version.
- Prepare the printer connection. Turn on the Canon device and confirm that your computer can reach it over the network. Have the printer’s IP address or shared queue name ready before starting setup.
- Download and extract the driver. Save the compatible package to your computer. If it arrives as an archive or self-extracting file, unpack it and locate the installer or driver files.
- Add the printer. Run the installer and follow its prompts to select the network device. If no installer is included, use Windows’ Add printer option, enter the printer’s address when needed, and browse to the extracted driver files.
- Verify the configuration. Open the printer’s properties, check that its available options are correctly configured, and print a test page. If printing fails, confirm the IP address, selected port, and network access before reinstalling.
This is a printing driver; scanning and other multifunction features may require separate Canon software.
Common Issues and Fixes
- Install fails or stalls: Remove existing Canon iR2525/2530 print queues first, run the UFRII LT package as administrator, and let it create the TCP/IP port. If Point and Print blocks installation, install the driver locally, then add a Standard TCP/IP port manually.
- Device not detected: Confirm the iR2525/2530 has a valid IP on the same subnet, ping it, and use a Standard TCP/IP port instead of WSD. Enable RAW port 9100 or SNMP on the printer if auto-discovery still fails.
- Version conflicts: Uninstall older UFRII/UFRII LT drivers from Print Server Properties > Drivers, reboot, then install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package. Avoid mixing PCL and UFRII LT drivers on the same queue.
