The Canon ImageRunner 7095 driver lets Windows communicate with this high-volume office printer, translating documents into print jobs the device can process. Installing a compatible Canon driver also gives you access to printer settings, helping you manage everyday document output from your PC.
Key Features
- Print settings from your desktop: Adjust options such as paper size, orientation, and copy count before sending a document to the printer.
- Paper handling controls: Select available paper sources and configure two-sided printing when supported by the device configuration and chosen driver.
- Finishing options: Access features offered by installed finishing equipment, such as stapling, when the driver supports and recognizes those accessories.
- Windows integration: Add the printer to your Windows printing environment so compatible applications can use it without separate printer setup in each program.
How to Install
- Check your Windows version and printer configuration. For Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, choose a driver package that explicitly supports your operating system and system architecture. Confirm that it also matches the printer’s installed print controller or printing language; not every Canon ImageRunner 7095 configuration uses the same package.
- Download and prepare the driver. Save the appropriate Canon driver package to your computer. If it is compressed, extract the contents to a folder you can easily locate. Review any included installation notes before proceeding.
- Confirm the printer connection. Make sure the device is powered on and accessible through your office network or another supported connection. For network installation, obtain its IP address or shared printer path from the printer settings or your administrator.
- Run the installer or add the printer manually. Follow the setup prompts and select the correct device. If the package has no installer, use Windows printer settings to add the printer, then browse to the extracted driver files when asked.
- Configure options and test printing. Open Printer Properties to check paper trays, duplex settings, and any installed finishing accessories. Print a test page to verify communication, then review printing preferences for your usual document needs.
If installation fails or output looks incorrect, check driver compatibility and the selected printer port before reinstalling. On managed office networks, administrator permission may be required to install or update the driver.
Common Issues and Fixes
- Install fails on Windows 10/11: Run the Canon setup as administrator and try Windows 8 compatibility mode. If the UFR II installer rejects the OS, use the PCL5/PCL6 driver and add the ImageRunner 7095 manually with a Standard TCP/IP port.
- Device not detected: Assign the 7095 a static IP, verify port 9100 is reachable, and create a Standard TCP/IP port instead of relying on WSD. For USB, use a direct port and a known-good cable.
- Driver version conflicts: Remove old Canon UFR II/PCL/PS drivers and leftover ports in Print Management, restart the spooler, then install one driver package only. Don’t mix UFR II and PCL for the same queue.
