Name: ZyXEL G 202 Driver
Author: Zyxel

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZyXEL G-202 installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and keep the USB adapter unplugged until setup asks for it. On older Windows, use Compatibility Mode for the package’s supported OS.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the G-202 directly into a rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for “Unknown device” or a warning icon, then update the driver manually by pointing to the downloaded INF file.

Question 3

Version conflicts or drops after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any old ZyXEL utility and existing WLAN driver, reboot, then install the driver package matching your Windows version and architecture. Avoid mixing vendor utility and Windows wireless management.
