Name: ZTE MF667 Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE MF667 setup as administrator, disconnect the modem until prompted, and temporarily disable antivirus. Confirm the installer matches your Windows version. If it still fails, extract the package and update the “ZTE USB Modem” driver manually via Device Manager.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for unknown “USB Composite Device” or CDC Serial entries; uninstall them, reconnect the MF667, and let Windows reinstall. If no modem/COM port appears, install the INF manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old ZTE modem software and stale Modem/Ports entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install the current MF667 package. Avoid mixing generic CDC/ACM drivers, and roll back if Windows Update replaces a working driver.
