Name: ZTE MF631 Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t start?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE MF631 installer as administrator. On Windows 10/11, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the package is unsigned. Uninstall any older ZTE USB modem software, reboot, then reconnect the MF631.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port and a known-good cable. Confirm the SIM is seated and the MF631 is not stuck in CD/storage mode. Check Device Manager under Modems/Ports or for an unknown USB composite device.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous ZTE MF-series drivers before installing the MF631 package. Prevent Windows Update from replacing the modem driver with a generic CDC driver, then reinstall the matching ZTE version and reboot.
