Author: ZTE

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE MF180 setup as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. On Windows 10/11, use Compatibility Mode for the installer; if the driver is unsigned, disable driver signature enforcement during installation.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a rear USB 2.0 port and a different cable. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown device” or missing Modems/Ports entries; uninstall the marked device, replug the MF180, and let Windows re-detect it.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZTE modem software and drivers first, remove leftover ZTE entries in Device Manager (including hidden devices), reboot, then install the correct MF180 driver package.
