Name: ZTE HSUSB Device Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The INF may not match your HSUSB hardware ID, or Windows may block an unsigned package. Run the ZTE installer as administrator, confirm the VID/PID in Device Manager, and use the correct 32/64-bit driver. Only temporarily disable driver signature enforcement for a trusted package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

HSUSB modems can remain in storage/CD-ROM mode or be suspended. Try a rear USB 2.0 port without a hub, replug the device, and check Device Manager for Unknown Device or a COM port. Install the mode-switch/driver package before opening modem software.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

Older ZTE modem/HSUSB drivers can conflict. Uninstall all ZTE HSUSB, USB modem, and COM port entries—including hidden devices—reboot, then install one current package.
