Question 1

Install fails or shows a yellow warning icon?

Accepted Answer

Windows may reject the ZTE driver due to signature or INF mismatch. Use the official signed ZTE package, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily disable Driver Signature Enforcement only if required. Then reinstall via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse.

Question 2

Device not detected as ZTE Composite ADB Interface?

Accepted Answer

Enable USB debugging on the phone, use a data-capable USB cable, and try a direct rear USB port. In Device Manager, check under Android Phone or Other Devices; if listed with an error, manually select the ZTE Composite ADB Interface driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts with existing ADB drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZTE, Google, or generic Android ADB drivers, remove hidden USB devices, reboot, then install the current ZTE package. Avoid mixing multiple ADB driver packages on the same Windows system.
