Name: ZTE AC2738 Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the ZTE AC2738, run the driver setup as Administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks the older unsigned modem driver, disable driver signature enforcement during install, then re-enable it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port, preferably a rear desktop port, and avoid hubs. Check Device Manager for “Unknown device” or missing COM/modem entries, then remove hidden old modem devices and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing ZTE modem/dial-up drivers and connection manager software, restart, then install only the AC2738 driver. In Device Manager, update manually by selecting the downloaded driver folder.
