Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZMate 2GB installer as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus/security prompts. If Windows blocks the package, confirm it is the manufacturer’s signed driver; otherwise let Windows use its in-box USB mass-storage driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the flash drive directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub or extension cable. Check Disk Management for an unallocated or offline volume, then test another PC to rule out a faulty port or connector.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, enable Show hidden devices, uninstall old ZMate/USB mass-storage entries, reboot, then install the latest package. If you see Code 10 or Code 28, remove the conflicting driver and rescan for hardware.
