Question 1

Driver install fails or is blocked by Windows?

Accepted Answer

Use the correct 32/64-bit ZK USB driver for the X628-C, run the installer as administrator, and reboot before connecting the terminal. Only disable driver signature enforcement if the installer is unsigned and you trust the source.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the X628-C directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Try another USB cable, remove any “Unknown device” or old ZK entry in Device Manager, reinstall the driver, then reconnect.

Question 3

Version conflicts with ZKAccess/BioTime/SDK?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZK drivers/software, remove stale USB driver entries, reboot, and install the driver version that matches the X628-C firmware and attendance software. Avoid mixing drivers from other ZK terminals.
