Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the SF101 installer as administrator and use the driver matching your Windows architecture. If Windows blocks it, check the signature/security prompt and use the signed ZK package rather than forcing an unrelated driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB 2.0 port and cable, avoid unpowered hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown USB or biometric entries. Close other fingerprint/SDK apps that may be holding the SF101 sensor open.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZK USB fingerprint drivers/SDKs, reboot, then install the current SF101 package. Do not mix 32-bit and 64-bit components or multiple SDK versions.
