Name: Zebra ZDesigner GC420T (EPL) Driver
Author: Zebra

Question 1

Install fails or Windows blocks the driver?

Accepted Answer

Download the Zebra GC420T EPL package—not the GC420d/ZPL package—extract it, and run the installer as administrator. If Windows rejects an older driver, update it manually via Device Manager.

Question 2

Printer not detected over USB?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port, replace the cable, power-cycle the printer, and check Device Manager for unknown devices. Remove stale USB printer entries before reconnecting.

Question 3

Version or port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Zebra drivers and queues, then reinstall. In Printer Properties, confirm the correct USB/COM port is selected and avoid mixing EPL and ZPL drivers on the same queue.
