Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the ZT220, remove older Zebra/ZDesigner drivers in Print Management, restart the Print Spooler, then install the correct ZT220 driver with Zebra Setup Utilities as administrator.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the ZT220 is powered on and connected via the correct USB, serial, parallel, or Ethernet port. Try another USB port/cable, check Device Manager for unknown devices, and add the port manually in Zebra Setup Utilities.

Question 3

Version or driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall conflicting Zebra drivers and any duplicate ZT220 queues, match the driver to Windows 32/64-bit, then reinstall the latest ZDesigner ZT220 package. Restart Windows before testing a label print.
