Name: Zebra Dtp 220 Thermal Printer Driver
Author: Zebra

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the DTP 220, remove existing Zebra printer entries in Printers & scanners, then run the installer as administrator. Use the latest signed manufacturer package—not a generic thermal-printer driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB/parallel cable and port, power-cycle the printer, and try another port. Confirm the DTP 220 is in the correct interface/emulation mode and appears in Device Manager; reinstall the USB port driver if it shows as unknown.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Zebra drivers and clear stale print queues before installing. Keep only one DTP 220 driver version, reboot, and set it as default so jobs don’t use a conflicting driver.
