Name: Zebra Desktop Printer TLP 3844 Z Driver
Author: Zebra

Question 1

Driver installation fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the correct 32/64-bit Zebra driver for the TLP 3844 Z and run the installer as administrator. If Windows blocks an older package, install through Zebra Setup Utilities and restart the print spooler before retrying.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the TLP 3844 Z directly to a rear USB port, avoiding hubs, and confirm power and cable. Check Device Manager/Printers for an unknown device, install the Zebra USB driver, and assign the correct USB port to the queue.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove old TLP 3844 Z queues and conflicting ZDesigner packages in Print Management, restart the spooler, then install one driver version. Keep only one Zebra driver package to prevent port and queue mismatches.
